Are You *Sure* You Want to Leave a Message?

A few days ago I was calling someone (work related, not important), and got voicemail. After their obligatory generic "Hi, this is so-and-so, can't answer my phone right now, etc" message, I got another automated message with further instructions. Which is pretty common--albeit lame--nowadays. Though usually the instuctions are about recording your message after the tone, pressing 1 to page the person, etc. This was different. Right after the guy's "leave a message" message, I hear:

"To disconnect, press 1. If you still want to leave a message for this person, press 3."

That made me giggle.

This Just Hurts. On So Many Levels.
